Please feel free to download this abandonware title Star Trek - The Rebel Universe from 1988.

Description

I must be true with this one. I haven't got a clue what to do. I figured out I can fly to lots of solar system but the coal of the game can nowhere be found in the game itself. Probably you who played this long ago can tell something about it. Here in the comments or preferably on the forum.
I do know the game is with the characters of the first series. Kirk, Spock, Chekhov, Bones, etc.

Trekkie

I guess I played it about 20 years ago. Here’s what I still know about it: A part of the universe has been seperated from the rest because there’s some kind of danger that will have destroyed it 5 years time - can’t really remember what it was. Unfortunately you’re caught there, too. You have to find some special devices (I guess ten) to avoid destruction. That’s why you travel to different plantes and look for hints, dilithium and whatever. There are some other menaces, too. Klingons, Romulans and even some kind of plants that will eat a whole through your ship’s alloy (you can only get rid of them if you fly to planets with special radiation that will kill them). If you run out of dilithium, you’ll only be able to fly at low speed, so you have to visit a planet which can provide resources. You can beam down on lots of planets and find different items that will help you. You are allowed to take only a part of your crew with you. If there’s an obstacle in your way, each crew member tells you what would be best to do and you have to decide whose advice you want to follow (e.g. Chekov always wants to use force, Mr Spock wants to analyse first and so on...)
I remember it to be a quite entertaining game in those days.
