Cave Quest is a game created by Lightwave Consultants in 1985 and is available for download.
Description
This is a very small adventure game, which has both graphics and ansi during gameplay. When you start the game you can arrange your 'D&D' points to different skills like Dexterity, Spells, Strenght, IQ, etc.
After that you are able to buy some stuff in the weapon- and wizard shops. Bad thing though is the fact that you can't 'sell' or undo in the shops. (Or I haven't found the proper key).
After that you journey begins and the game starts in the graphical interface. You walk through a castle (or outside) and you can fight skeletons and other creatures. You can start in different levels.
There are some files in the zip-file which you can open using notepad for more details and instructions.

I loved this game and I even played it on a hercules graphics adapter - meaning I could only see the walls, not the monsters or myself! This is definitely the game that Diablo was trying to mimic, exactly the same game elements exist. | |
