In 1986 Ballyhoo was released by Infocom and is now abandonware.

Description

This is a textadventure from Infocom. In this textadventure you try to help a circusowner, which has been kidnapped. I've got not much too say more about the game besides the beginning: You just left a poor circus experience.

You can find all the box art in the galleries at infocom(dot)elsewhere(dot)org - I never owned this one properly, getting it in "The Lost Treasures of Infocom" around 15 years ago; I’ve played it through many times without problem \":\+\"

This was one of Infocom’s first attempt at a platform game. The box actually doubled as a "game board" with player pieces you moved during the game. Not sure if it’s playable without it.
